Venues have been chosen and the date is set for the fifth annual Boomtown Film and Music Festival. Mark your calendars because next year’s BoomFest is set for February 24-25, 2012 in Beaumont, Texas. Expect to see the return of our 48 Hour Video Race, as well as special new contests.
CALL FOR FILMS
Last year our festival screened scores of films from all over the world and BoomFest is now accepting entries to play in the 2012 lineup and be judged in competition. Head over to our film submission page if you have a movie you’d like to enter in any category: Narrative feature, short, documentary, experimental or music video. Student films are welcome and one will even be selected to receive a special award. The Boomtown Film & Music Festival is proud to once again charge no entry fee to submit your film. You’ll just need to mail in 2 DVD copies of your work along with the entry form.
CALL FOR BANDS
We are also looking for local and national music acts to perform at the 2012 festival. If you’re a musician and think you’ve got the stuff to make our lineup, or you just want to suggest someone that we should invite to perform, be sure to email and let us know.
